Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive activity program that caters to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, including those with memory care and senior care requirements.
- Collaborate with staff members, volunteers, and residents to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Coordinate and lead activities, events, and programs, ensuring they are safe, enjoyable, and fulfilling for all participants.
- Manage schedules and resources to ensure seamless execution of activities and events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, vendors, and service providers to enhance our activity offerings.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify and address the social, emotional, and recreational needs of our residents.
- Develop and implement programs that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity, as well as address any specific needs or concerns.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our activity program and make recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of activities, events, and programs.
Qualifications:
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, senior care, or long-term care.
- Proven experience in event planning and coordination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, staff, and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Familiarity with caregiving and home community care.
- Knowledge of the needs and preferences of older adults and those with memory care or senior care requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Current certifications in areas such as CPR, first aid, or nursing home administration are a plus.
