Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and qualified Web Application & Database Developer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in migrating, managing, and maintaining a SQL Server and web application for a U.S. Government client.
This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for 75% remote work and 25% in-office presence at a U.S. Government facility located near Aberdeen, NC.
Please note that this position is contingent on contract award.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Install and configure databases and applications.
Modify existing forms and database tables to meet unit-specific data requirements.
Adjust web application forms and displays to support multiple instances of candidate assessments.
Develop or modify scripts to extract, validate, and load data from PDF and CSV files.
Ensure compliance with DoD data security standards and maintain data security.
Manage various data sets effectively.
Attend weekly meetings with U.S. Government representatives to provide updates and gather feedback.
Conduct quarterly updates to PDFs, the SQL database, and the web application to enhance performance and usability.
Perform statistical analyses on candidate data to support program validation efforts.
Train designated U.S. Government personnel in routine data management and analysis activities.
Required Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Possess a minimum of SECRET clearance.
Hold a CompTIA Security+ certification.
Have experience with full-stack web development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and backend programming languages.
Proficiency in C, ASP.NET framework, and Model View Controller (MVC) architecture.
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, including database development, complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
Experience using Python for automation or web development.
Ability to parse information from PDFs using libraries such as PyPDF2 and PDFMiner.
Experience performing descriptive, univariate, and multivariate statistical analyses.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of machine learning applications.
Proficiency in SPSS and R for statistical analysis.
Understanding of web scraping techniques.
