Our client is a global manufacturer and distributes products to the oil and natural gas industry in the US and internationally and is headquartered in Houston.

Job Summary

Inspect parts, assemblies, and subassemblies to drawings and prints. Initiates non-conformance reports on all parts and assemblies that are not to drawing and print specifications. Assures that manufactured units meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.

Job Description

• Read and interpret blueprints to perform in-process and final inspection and testing of API 6A API 6D products and welded and fabricated equipment
• Proficient use of Measuring and Testing Equipment /Software and ability to perform calibrations on equipment
• Follow shop routers/work orders to schedule sequence inspection/testing operations
• Perform Receiving, In-process, Final Inspection, and testing utilizing drawing specifications
• Document Receiving, In-process and Final Inspections
• Perform calibrations on M&TE
• File and maintain all Quality Control records
• Perform essential duties following the Quality Management System
• Report and document nonconformance or potential problems relating to the quality of the product and/or the QMS
• Perform work in a professional and safe manner
• Report on unsafe work practices

• Initiates corrective action requests when conditions adverse to quality are repetitive
• Completes, inspects, and distributes all quality records and documents
• Perform specialized testing as required
• Developing knowledge and problem-solving skills
• Works independently under minimal supervision

Skills Required

• 3+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection, testing, and manufacturing
• Sound product knowledge
• Added advantage: Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) operation knowledge

Additional Skills

• Looking for someone with dimension inspection experience (2 years ideal)
• Must have great mathematical skills
• Must be self-starter, and adaptable
• Client is not overly focused on finding someone with the exact experience. They will be cross-trained on areas such as MTR reports

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
  

Additional Requirements

• Shift Hours: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm or 4:30 pm
  

Pay Rate/Salary

• $17.09 - $22.00/hr depending on experience
