Job Title: Medical Receptionist – Ophthalmology Practice

Location: Upper East Side, Manhattan

Salary: $30 - $32 per hour

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our well-established ophthalmology practice located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in providing excellent service to our patients and supporting the smooth operation of the practice.

Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls and provide prompt, courteous assistance to patients.
• Communicate effectively with our billing company to ensure accurate processing of claims and payments.
• Check in and check out patients, verifying insurance information and collecting payments as needed.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling correspondence.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all patients feel welcomed and well-informed.
• Assist with any additional tasks or duties as required by the practice.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role preferred, particularly in a medical office setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with office equipment, including phone systems, computers, and scheduling software.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, billing processes, and medical terminology is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly and professional demeanor, with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
