What is the Opportunity?

Our team is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern who will assist our engineers and designers with plant design modifications for nuclear power plant systems and components. The successful candidate will work with a multi-discipline group of engineers and designers, supporting our Nuclear Engineering Team within the mechanical engineering discipline.

What You'll Do Here:

The successful candidate will assist with engineering assignments of limited to moderate complexity including but not limited to preparation of spreadsheets, Bills of Materials (BOMs), calculations, and design drawings using 2D CAD design software.

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Must have completed 1-2 years of a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a 4-year ABET accredited college or university.
  • Must have completed some coursework in Engineering Fundamentals, including involvement with specific project(s) utilizing mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience using CAD.
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA or higher
