This position reports to

Maintenance Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Must meet or exceed company requirements for safety. Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment. Installs equipment and appliances. Keeps a maintenance log using provided CMM. Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion. Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed. Follows written and verbal instructions. Collaborates with the maintenance team and contractors as needed. Inspect on a routine basis electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues. Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem. Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment, and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity. Test systems with devices such as voltmeters, and ohmmeters to ensure the system remains safe and that components are compatible. Review blueprints to understand the placement of wiring or to comprehend the working of the equipment to provide the right service and repairs. Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other electrical components, advising when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks. Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications for the role

  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience not required but desirable.
  • Relevant electrician certifications
  • Basic understanding of computer-based machine controls.
  • Must have basic manufacturing/quality knowledge and be able to use simple measuring devices.
  • Able to follow quality plans and work instructions. Able to use common tools of machine operations.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
