Import Logistics Coordinator

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Import Logistics Coordinator role with Accutime Watch Corp, located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The position will be overseeing the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods and materials for our company with 3 warehouse across US and 1 warehouse in Canada, as well as FOB shipments directly out of Asia. Responsibilities are key to ensuring the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers, maintaining cost efficiency, and meeting customer delivery expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transportation Management:

  • Plan and coordinate shipments to meet delivery schedules.
  • Select appropriate transportation methods (truck, rail, air, sea).
  • Negotiate freight rates with carriers and manage shipping costs

2. Supply Chain Coordination:

· Act as the main point of contact for suppliers, customers, and internal departments.

· Coordinate with other teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

· Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and customs.

3. Documentation and Compliance:

· Prepare and maintain shipping and customs documentation.

· Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and legal regulations.

4. Problem Solving:

· Address shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies in delivery.

· Develop and implement solutions to optimize logistics processes.

Required Skills:

  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple shipments and projects.
  • Communication skills: Clear communication with clients, vendors, and teams.
  • Problem-solving ability: Addressing delays, inventory issues, and other challenges.
  • Attention to detail: Accurate tracking and documentation.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with logistics software and tools.
  • Understanding of international shipping and customs procedures can be advantageous.
