Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This fully remote position allows you to provide virtual educational services to K-12 students within a school district in Alabama. As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver virtual, high-quality instruction to K-12 students through a secure and user-friendly online platform.
Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and student progress to ensure compliance and track academic growth.
Collaborate with school staff, fellow educators, and parents to monitor and evaluate student performance, making adjustments to instruction as needed.
Use a variety of digital tools and resources to create engaging, effective, and interactive lessons that cater to the unique needs of each student.
Ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed academically and socially within a virtual learning environment.

Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Special Education is required.
Active Alabama state licensure as a Special Education Teacher.
At least 2 years of experience working with K-12 students in a school setting.
Previous experience with teletherapy or a willingness to work with online platforms is a plus.
Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage time effectively.
Proficiency in using virtual tools and resources to engage students and deliver dynamic, personalized lessons.
