**Responsibilities:**
+ A Flooring Installer performs the installation process of all types of flooring in both residential and commercial buildings
+ Typical duties you may wish to include are preparing the work surface by removing the existing flooring, measuring and cutting the new material and securely installing the new flooring
+ Removing and disposing of the old flooring material
+ Cleaning and preparing the bare work surface
+ Measuring the new flooring material
+ Attaching the flooring using adhesives and other fasteners based on the type of material
+ Checking the installation to ensure the flooring is straight and level
+ Applying any finishing materials, such as grout on tile or stain on wood
+ Ensuring work area and projects remain clean and tidy
+ Explaining care requirements to owners
**Qualifications:**
+ Ability to use power and hand tools
+ Precision and attention to detail
+ Basic math and measurement skills
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills
+ Understanding of blueprints and other project documentation
+ Ability to manipulate and position flooring materials in place
+ Knowledge of the installation process for different flooring types
