Position Summary: 

• Plan and implement lessons for ELL students that adhere to school and state educational standards.
  
• Set and uphold clear behavioral guidelines to maintain a structured and positive learning environment.
  
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth.
  
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to incorporate English language development into various subject areas.
  
• Assess student progress consistently and refine instructional approaches to promote ongoing language advancement.
  
• Deliver targeted, personalized instruction in both one-on-one and small group settings to address the specific needs of ELL students.
  

Requirements

Candidates must possess an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an ESL endorsement and have prior experience as an ESL Teacher or in a similar teaching role. While a Master’s degree in TESOL or a related field is strongly preferred, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is the minimum educational requirement for this position.
