Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join our team and play a crucial role in managing import security filing and customs processes for various shipments. This is a hybrid position that allows you to work remotely part of the week, with the rest of the time in the office. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience: Ensure a positive and efficient experience for our clients, aiming for happy and satisfied feedback.
ISF Entries: Manage the processing of all Import Security Filing (ISF) entries.
Customs Documentation: Assemble and submit required entry packets and ensure the approval of applicable documentation for customs clearance.
Customs Clearance: Handle customs clearance for air, ocean, road, and rail shipments, ensuring all processes comply with regulations.
Compliance: Process entries via ABI to meet all CBP and other government agency requirements.
Freight Release & Duty Payments: Obtain Freight Releases and manage duty payments and ACH accounts.
Classification & Rating: Classify goods and rate commercial invoices as needed.
Collaborate with Agencies: Interface with U.S. Customs and other government agencies to resolve any issues.
Internal Policies: Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures and recommend solutions for efficiency improvements.
Delivery Management: Oversee deliveries of LCL and air freight to customer locations as required.

Preferred Experience:
While not required, the ideal candidate will have:
Experience using the CargoWise system.
At least 2 years of experience as an entry writer or in customs brokerage operations.
Familiarity with classifying goods and handling OGA filings.
