The Marvin Group is a Strategic Partner for Global Alternate Mission Equipment and Sustainment The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor, plays a crucial role in the development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles. Based in Southern California near the Los Angeles International Airport, The Marvin Group consists of Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS) and Marvin Land Systems (MLS). Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. Marvin Land Systems specializes in the design and build of power and thermal management systems. Responsibilities - Operate a variety of CNC 3-4-5 axis machines.
- Able to use inspection tools, Basic Blueprint reading required.
- If requested able to run multiple machines.
- Inspects first-run and in-process parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Complete all required record keeping/ SPC as needed.
- Keep machine and surrounding work area clean, safe and well organized.
- Deburr parts as needed.
- Additional duties/responsibilities may be assigned.
Skills / Requirements - 5+ years’ experience in operating 3-4-5 axis CNC machines in a high-precision manufacturing
Environment.
- Must be able to inspect his/ her own parts.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret, blue print, job traveler, and work instructions.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with minor supervision.
- Self-motivated, willing to learn.
- Must read and write English.
- Prolong standing for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to lift and move parts, weighing 35 lbs. or less
- Must be High School graduate or GED
- Certificate in Machining Technology is a plus.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs
