Job Title : Civil or Environmental Engineer
Locations : Portland, OR; Vancouver, WA; Lake Oswego, OR
Employment Type : Full-Time

Salary Range : $85,000 – $107,000/year

Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Engineer with over 5 years of experience in civil or environmental engineering. This role focuses on stormwater design , environmental remediation , and site development projects. Candidates will engage in all phases of project execution, including design, permitting, specifications, construction oversight, project management, and client communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering designs, permitting documents, and technical specifications.
• Oversee bidding and contract solicitation processes.
• Manage construction oversight, quality control, and payment reviews.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Conduct detailed quality reviews and mentor junior team members.
• Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams.
• Support larger projects while also managing smaller projects independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial stormwater or wastewater design experience.
• Expertise in utility design and Civil 3D grading.
• Construction oversight and management experience.
• Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis experience.
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (with current refresher).

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification (with ability to obtain licensure in OR and WA within three months).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in stormwater design, environmental remediation, or site development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (e.g., lifting, using safety equipment, traversing rough terrain).
