Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes and providing valuable insights into our financial health. The Bookkeeper will work closely with management to support budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning.

Duties

  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to assist management in decision-making.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero for bookkeeping tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.

Required Skills:

· Proficiency in QuickBooks: Demonstrated ability to use QuickBooks effectively, including both desktop and online versions.

· Bookkeeping Principles: Strong understanding of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger accounting.

· Attention to Detail: Accuracy and meticulousness in recording and verifying financial data.

· Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and organize financial records efficiently.

· Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in financial data.

· Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

· Software Skills: Proficiency in using other relevant software and applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
