The Nines , located in NOHO NYC, is a supper club, cocktail and piano bar from Golden Age Hospitality - the team who behind Elvis , ACME , Le Dive, Happiest Hour, and Deux Chats.

We are currently seeking a talented, highly experienced, hospitality driven   Assistant General Manager   to join our team. The Assistant General Manager will focus on managing the front of house team and ensuring all steps of service are consistently met and exceeded. They will support the General Manager in administration including scheduling, ordering, and maintenance. The Assistant General Manager will primarily drive the team to create exceptional and memorable experiences for guests, cultivate guest relationships, and curate the guestbook.

The schedule for this position is full time, 5 days a week including opening and closing shifts, as well as a full office day. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in an upscale and dynamic environment while being willing and able to roll up their sleeves in all aspects of service and operational procedures.

As the AGM You Will:

• Lead by example and coach, mentor, and motivate the team to perform at their highest potential.
• Assist FOH staff during service and oversee the flow of the entire restaurant by being present on the floor.
• Initiate and participate in performance management meetings and ensure standards are consistently being met.
• Ability to diffuse challenging guest situations with patience, understanding, and tact; and resolve conflicts between service team members.
• Impeccable hospitality skills and ability to engage with all guests.
• Assisting with load-in, soundcheck, and execution of musical programming.

What You Bring:

• 3+ years management experience in a similarly energetic, high-end establishment
• Nightlife experience
• Strong communication and public speaking skills
• Working knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails 
• Experience using platforms such as Toast, 7Shifts, Resy
• Proficient computer skills and experience using Google drive
